Today, i played in sunsports open team events finals. The match was against safra. The result went on to 2-2 and jiansheng and i was the doubles players for the final match. This was my first time playing finals in a national level competition. I realli thank ShingWah for giving me such a chance. Although in the end, we lost, i realli gained a lot of things. Now i realise skill level is realli not that important compared to mentality.. when we was leading 1 game to 0, and leading in the 2nd game, i could feel winning was close to us.. that was when my body starts becoming stiff.. Adjusting was not easy... i realise the difference between good and bad player is not in the skill, but the mentality... good players are able to adjust quickly and adapt to situations.. most importantly, the urge to win the match must be strong... if u tink playing with top players, can win one game very good liao.. then u can nv beat them... and one more thing... the b4 match preparation.. the nite before, i slept too late.. and nv sleep well.. in the end, for the whole of today, i was feeling giddy giddy de.. this is the consequences of no self control...
lastly, i am going to share a story which i found in the cutest girl--Tania's blog.. very meaningful..
A student once asked his teacher, "What is love?"
His teacher replied, "Go out to the corn fields, find the biggest corn. But when you walk, you can't turn back." The student did as he told.
When he went out to the corn field, at the start, he saw a very big corn. But then thinking that there might be bigger corns out there, he ignored it carried on walking. After walking for some time he realised that the corn he saw initially right at the beginning was still the biggest amongst all but he couldn't turn back. So he went back t the teacher with empty hands. The boy regretted.
The teacher told him, "What you want to know, what you have been looking for have been always with you. You go on looking and looking for a better one, even though you have found a suitable one. Thats when you miss an opportunity and by the time you realise it, its too late, you can't turn back now. Well, love is something that has always been with you, but just that you don't really know or cherish it.
